Security is something that we take very serious at RPK9. Newspapers and news media outlets are constantly reporting victims of murder, rape, assault, abduction, etc. Every time you see one of these headlines, ask yourself "What would the outcome have been if that person had a trained protection dog by their side that day?" Chances are that the outcome would have looked a whole lot different and they wouldn't be a victim in todays headlines. Give yourself and your family peace of mind knowing that you have an added level of security in your family unit. We utilize training scenarios from car jacking to home invasions to prepare both dog and handler for how to react when it counts most. Dogs, like humans, encounter stress and  adrenaline in high tension situations that affect their ability to think and operate clearly. No different than people trained to handle high stress situations, we train dogs to step up when the call to action is necessary. We offer private dog training sessions to develop your dog as well as group training for protection work in the Club like setting. RPK9 trains regularly to attend and compete around the region in working dog events affiliated with Working Dogs of America, INC. (WDA). 

 WDA MISSION STATEMENT:
Working Dogs of America is dedicated to developing, preserving, and using a canine's natural instincts,
intelligence, and tractability to perform meaningful, utilitarian tasks for mankind.
Its goal is to use proven common-sense methods for training both canine and handler while maximizing the social,
family orientation, and sport aspects of dog training. In addition the WDA program enables the evaluation of a canine's working ability,
maintaining and improving breeding stock to conform to the breed's original purpose and function. 

 WDA offers titles in five divisions.
Obedience titles: Family Obedience (FO), Obedience Dog 1 (OB1-3), Protection Sport Obedience (PSOB1-3)
Protection titles: Protection Dog (P1-3), Protection Alert (PA)
Protection Sport titles: Protection Sport Dog (PS1-3)
Police Dog titles: Police Dog (PD1-3)
Tracking titles: Tracking (T1, T2, MT)   

 Interested in growing the relationship with your dog and gaining some experience? Give us a call or shoot us a message to get our training schedule. We offer individual private dog training sessions and we offer bundles. We also offer group training in a Club setting to help prepare dog & handler teams for upcoming events. Not a seasoned trainer/handler? No problem, WDA offers entry level titles to help get your feet wet and get started on the right path! Looking for a challenge? We got ya covered there too! Some of the advanced titles require a significant amount of control and some specific trained behaviors. Whatever your experience level is, we have something to offer and / or challenge you and your dog to be better.
